2. The ADMC Program: HISA's Anti-Doping and Medication Control (ADMC) Program, active since May 2023, has received valuable feedback from horsemen. In response, HISA has proposed changes to the ADMC rules for the Federal Trade Commission's approval, indicating a dynamic approach towards refining racing standards.

3. National Concussion Protocol for Jockeys: HISA introduced a first-of-its-kind national concussion protocol for U.S. Thoroughbred racing. This protocol, developed with expert consultation, aligns racing with other major sports in concussion management and care.

4. Partnership with Amazon Web Services: In a groundbreaking move, HISA is collaborating with AWS to apply data analytics and AI in understanding and preventing equine injuries. This project aims to create a comprehensive analytics platform for injury prediction and prevention, setting a new standard in racehorse care.

5. Registration Rule and Technological Advancements: HISA continues to evolve technologically and operationally. The organization has implemented a registration rule requiring horses to be registered on the day of their first timed workout. Additionally, key technological leadership changes have been made to enhance data usage and innovation.

6. Upcoming Events and Outreach: HISA is actively engaging with the racing community, evident in its upcoming participation in industry events and the hosting of a virtual Town Hall to discuss the ADMC Program.

7. HIWU's Role and Impact: The Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU) successfully administered the ADMC Program at the Breeders' Cup. HIWU's extensive testing strategy and investigative efforts underscore its crucial role in maintaining integrity and safety in the sport.

As 2023 winds down, HISA's initiatives and collaborations signify a transformative era in Thoroughbred racing, focusing on safety, integrity, and technological advancement.
